Up & Pull

The Up and Pull system is so named because after each successive win the bet is ‘upped’ by one unit and then ‘pulled back’ to the base unit after a loss. The system is very straightforward to use. It utilises a series of numbers starting with two bets of 2 units each, then bets increase by one unit with each win, bets revert to the start of the sequence as soon as a loss is incurred:

2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8…

After two successive wins bets are increased, taking advantage of positive swings. The good thing about the up and pull system is that even just two wins, followed by a loss, will still leave the player in profit by one unit:

The series W,W,L results in a cumulative total of +2, +2, -3 = +1.

Likewise, three wins followed by a loss – W, W, W, L results in a cumulative total of +2, +2, +3, -4 = +3

Bet If win If lose
2 +2 -2
2 +4 0
3 +7 +1
4 +11 +3
5 +16 +6

As you can see, unlike other positive progression systems it is not necessary to predict when the winning streak will end (which is impossible) because any two or more wins will give a profit for that series even when the eventual loss does occur.

Naturally, it is important to keep in mind that strings of losses will give a larger negative total than flat betting one unit, and that it may take several positive swings to return your session balance to a positive figure. So while the system is easy to implement, keeping a running total of your session win or loss amount will take some concentration.

Four successive losses would leave the player -8 units down (flat betting 2 units after a loss). In order to recover this loss and be up for the session would require a sting of four successive wins (11 units up), meaning the session balance would be +3 units. As soon as the session balance is positive, the profits should be ‘pulled back’ into the players profit pile.

As with any betting system, having a good money management system in place before play is imperative. The up and pull method is a far less risky betting system than almost any other. Since you flat bet during losing streaks you are not risking anywhere near as much of your bankroll as you would with the infamous martingale system. Do be aware that no system can be a guaranteed way of making money.
